There is a message in the wheel-thrown pots of my great-grandfather Otto Lindig, in those of my great-aunt Rosemarie Könecke and of my mother Ulrike Könecke. It is defined through a specific balance between interior and exterior, volume and wall of the vessel: a strong concentration on the vessels essential qualities. My challenge is to express this message within a contemporary vocabulary of forms.
